7-22-2015: 1000 Figs, Red Dresses, and NATURAL BLONDE

01. EAT

Before it was a restaurant, 1000 Figs was a local favorite food truck, Fat Falafel. Created by couple Theresa Galli and Gavin Cady, the restaurant features Mediterranean favorites with a fresh, seasonal touch. Whether you’re craving the vegetarian-friendly Falafel Feast (featuring falafel, flatbread, hummus, baba ghanouj, yogurt, and pickled vegetables) or Mississippi Lamb Shoulder over flatbread, every meal is delicious. The staff is friendly, but often frazzled because of high demand and lack of physical space. If it’s too crowded, skip the line by buying a bottle of wine next door at Swirl Wine Bar and Market and order 1000 Figs takeout to enjoy on the Swirl patio.

What if all you had to do to support the Pursuit Creative Conference Kickstarter campaign was order a cocktail?

Our buddies over at the new Ursa Major bar and restaurant extended this offer: for every cocktail sold this Thursday, they will donate a portion of sales towards the campaign for the first creative conference here in New Orleans. Brilliant! Really, how could we not accept this thirst quenching offer?

Thursday, July 23rd from 5:30-7:30pm

PS. We’re about 74% funded, but if we don’t reach our goal we will receive nothing. Donate to the Kickstarter Campaign
